![]() For those who want a glimpse into my family's Christmas Eve, here are two albums for you to browse. I just think this one is so funny. For the story about the bunny, you can see Danny's blog. A month or so ago I got a new duvet cover for my bed. I am trying to find a picture for you because it is just so pretty, but I might end up being unsuccessful. Anyway, when I got the new cover, I also bought new sheets, in ivory and in a sort of brownish grey. Initially I put on the ivory sheets, but a week or so ago I switched to the brownish grey and I just cannot express my delight in waking up to this color sheets in the morning. I love them so much that the ivory sheets might not go on ever again. Hot Tip I have found the absolute best bagels in Burbank: at Pavillion's grocery store. Forget the actual bagel stores--those are lousy. While Pavillion's only has about 4-6 different flavors, I have found them to be a little crispy/chewy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Delicious. Yesterday I was so very good. I worked a half day on my freelance stuff, cleaned the bathroom and the living room AND even made time to go and help decorate the City of Roseville's Rose Parade Float with Gavin's mom and sister Kendra, along with Gavin's mom's nephew and family who are visiting this week from the DC area. Then I had dinner with Joey and Carrie (fresh back from IL for Christmas) and then watched TV and opened the remaining Carrie presents last night. That's a lot for one day, which means I was good and dedicated. Today I don't feel so good and dedicated. I have TONS of design work to do, which I could and should do this week, since I don't have any other work, but I kinda feel like taking it easy today. And by taking it easy, I really mean cleaning out more of my room and writing thank you cards for Christmas gifts. Maybe I should assign 3 hours of work to myself for the design stuff and then get to work on these other projects that elude me. Tough choices. Late tonight I think Gavin and I will head up to Ojai to spend New Year's and the weekend with his family. I'm not sure what the celebrations will be, but I hope they will be low key...I don't really like doing anything for New Year's. In years past, I've been sick, so I've taken to watching the Godfather until I fell asleep, and I kinda like that tradition. But, with inviting people into your life, you also invite new traditions, so we shall see what happens. - Jenny, 12/30/2008 09:05:00 AM |
