![]() It's always a bit tricky for me when I start a blog in the morning and then try to wrap it up in the afternoon. Today is one such day. My morning was fairly free and easy, since I got ahead of myself on work. That allowed me to do some other random freelance things, as well as have a leisurely start, along with a nice warm shower. I love warm showers. Right now I'm sitting in Gavin's apartment, listening to the loud hispanic music that is being played outside. I had a meeting downtown and, instead of returning all the way home, I decided to take a pit stop here. One of his neighbors really enjoys playing music for the whole neighborhood. I assume this is the same person who, a few weeks ago, played Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" over and over and over again, since it's at the same volume...which means to say that I can hear all of the words perfectly up in Gavin's apartment. A few songs ago it was "Feliz Navidad" and a couple other Christmas songs, which made me excited to find a connection with another person who loves Christmas music, but that was a short-lived trend and now we're back to hispanic music. If only they'd put in Mariah Carey's Christmas album. I'd be stoked. This weekend was a bit of a blur. Partly because of all the stuff I did, but also partly because I had a headache for the entire weekend behind my left eyebrow. I developed it around noon on Friday and it wasn't until 6 p.m. or so that I figured that it was probably a migraine. I endured it the remainder of the night at a movie night at Terrence's, but was SUPER bummed that it was there and furious when I woke up the next morning. Unfortunately, there was no time to indulge sleeping it off--I had things to do on Saturday, including hanging out with Bonnie and Kendra, Gavin's mom and sister. We went to this weavers craft fair at some woman's house in Pasadena. Sunday morning I preached at a Disciples of Christ church in Burbank about Family Promise. The service was unique to me in that we had a Thanksgiving potluck during the service, which was kinda cool. As the speaker I had to hurry eating, but otherwise I fully recommend eating stuffing while worshipping. Then I drove down to Cerritos to talk bridesmaid stuff with Marian, Vicky and Tina. Then I drove back up and arrived at the softball game at exactly game time. Even though I hadn't played in awhile and hadn't warmed up, I am super pleased with how I played. I played better in this game than the rest of the season combined. Right now I'm waiting to see if rain will actually occur. I'm playing Colander in tennis tonight if it doesn't rain. If it does rain, I will enjoy the night in and hopefully do some laundry and freelance stuff. Tomorrow morning I might or I might not go up to Ojai with Gavin. It is unclear, and I wonder if it will continue to be unclear even tomorrow morning....hmm.... - Jenny, 11/25/2008 08:30:00 AM |
