![]() I never got around to blogging yesterday. I jumped right into work and couldn't look back because I had all sorts of edits I had to do on things I've already done. In fact, I don't think I ever got around to doing anything new yesterday. Then, after work, I took a computer break so I could fold laundry (I managed to wash four loads yesterday, which was very helpful because I had exactly two shirts left to wear in my drawer). Then, I had all of these great intentions to work on freelance stuff last night and it was all foiled by going out to dinner with Joey, Carrie, Dad and Gail, Carrie's mom. It ended up being a very long dinner, the most disappointing thing of which was that the food was awful (Frida's in the Americana is disgusting). This past weekend was great. I spent all of it with Gavin. Friday night we watched TV and made dinner together. Saturday after I finished painting a flower for the Family Promise silent auction, we were going to go to Descanso Gardens and, because it was raining, we abandoned ship and instead went to an art store and then to Costco. Later on that day, we walked to the store, made our very own spaghetti sauce, and watched Young@Heart, a documentary which we were told by Carrie we'd be touched by...a guaranteed cry. So, our game was predicting all of the places in the movie where Carrie cried. Sunday Gavin came to church with me and then afterwards I made him lunch of delicious butternut squash with salad. Yum. Then, we went impromptu to Descanso, which Gavin enjoyed because the lighting ended up being great to take photos. Later on that afternoon, I played softball with the Team and we lost. I have been on a hitting slump and it is ANNOYING. Eight more days until I'll be in New Jersey! I had some lodging crises, but they're all worked out now. - Jenny, 10/07/2008 07:34:00 AM |
