I read it somewhere on the Internet...

Well, I've managed to get Gavin hooked on LOST. At least so far. Last night I introduced him to Season 1 of LOST and we ended up watching all 4 episodes that are on the first disc. It was weird for me to watch the first episodes again--the show just looks so different. And it was interesting to see how early some themes in the show start.

The Crippler sent me a news article this morning about a home decoration idea. It seems that this person decorated the walls of his basement with $10 worth of Sharpies. Looking at the results is quite spectacular. For some reason, it strikes me as vaguely French, but I have no reason why I think that. Anyway, I told Chris that if I tried to do something like this that I'd likely start drawing, make a mistake, and then scribble it out...so in the end I'd have a wall full of scribbles. When I first saw it or, really, thought about it, the non-risk-taking side of me (which is nearly 100%) said, "Oh, no--you can't do that! You'll damage your walls!" And then I realized that if you make a mistake or if it all turns out hideously, you can just re-paint the walls. Anyway, there's a bit of inspiration for you this Wednesday morning.

I'm considering going to a Toastmasters meeting today at lunchtime. This woman I play tennis with invited me to come and I figure that it might be beneficial for me. If things don't get out of hand and I remember, then I think I will at least check it out.
