![]() I am officially working for the weekend. I don't know why, but this week has seemed particularly draining and frustrating. I am looking forward to the weekend, even if it means that I'm on-call tonight and Saturday night and preaching on Sunday morning. And playing softball this weekend in 100F heat. So I have a question that stems from my observation on the subway (btw, my new favorite game is "guess which exit that person gets off on"...I am fair to decent at guessing). My question is: If the escalator is not working, is there anything gained by walking up the escalator than by using the regular stairs? It seems to me that there wouldn't be, that's why it's mystifying to me that a good host of people still walk up the escalator instead of using the stairs. I mean, I guess a non-working escalator is a glorified stairway, but still. - Jenny, 6/27/2008 08:23:00 AM |
