Yesterday I worked all day long and then had some fantastic chili with Gavin. Today I really cannot say that I'm worth much at all! I didn't get a good night's sleep and so really have been much like the walking dead all day long. It's a bummer.

Day 6: CompleteIn my eyes I've finished the house that I started painting on Wednesday. I really like how it turned out, although now that I look at the picture on the screen, I am thinking that it might need more detail. What do you think? The painting itself is only about 4x6", so maybe that's a good amount of detail for that size.

So as I said earlier, today I've been pretty worthless. If I do not get a good night's sleep, I just can't seem to make up ground the next day. I mean, I used to be able to do that, but now that I'm nearing 30...different story. Anyhow, my brother and I ate some leftover chili for lunch (delish) and watched a couple of episodes of
Day 7: Incomplete (needs final detail)Heroes Season 2. I do believe that I'm now on episode #4, but I could be wrong. Then I figured that I better at least do something with myself, so I thought that I'd paint something. But since my eyes are having a difficult time focusing today (cause: lack of sleep), I decided not to paint the second house that my realtor friend wanted me to paint. Instead, I decided to paint one of the flowers Gavin took. The picture to the side is incomplete - lacks final detail. If you go to the painting a day in April set, you can see a progression from initial paint on paper to mostly done.

Presently, I'm biding my time here at Karen's house. Tonight our plan is to eat tomato soup (Karen's mom's delicious recipe) and grilled cheese sandwiches (Karen uses rosemary bread - I think about these in my spare time, sometimes) and will have a low-key night and possibly watch a movie. However, Karen is out and about on an organizing job, so she's asked me to go over and prepare the tomato soup, since it has to simmer for a period of time. So, here I am. Still sleepy, but not quite as bad.
