My guest preaching gig at KC's church yesterday went well. KC's church is very friendly and there were even some people who remembered me from when I gave a sermon there last summer, which was cool. If you're curious, you can listen either to the children's sermon here, or to the actual sermon here. Overall, I think both sermons were received well. I am not normally great at giving children's sermons, but the kids seemed to pay attention and the message seemed to go over well. As for the delivery of the adult sermon, I was quite pleased with myself for not really messing up for the most part.

Day 9: CompleteI finished the painting of the house on Merida Place in La CaƱada for my real estate friend. I started last night on a graduation gift for Kyle. I have a few different ideas for things to paint, but not a lot of motivation lately.

If you were here in my house right now, you'd hear me saying "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." There is a seven-inch lizard roaming around our living room. Creeps me out significantly. Thank goodness my brother is not afraid and working on capturing the lizard to take him back out into the wild. This is not the first time I have found a lizard in the house. There was one time I was emptying out my shredded paper bin and found a four-inch (LIVE) lizard resting on the paper shreds in there. Ugh. It probably crawled across my face while I was sleeping. Shudder.

Hm, I had a big idea for a blog post about grocery stores, but I think I'll do that tomorrow. Today I've been busy with updating the design section of my website. It has a l-o-n-g way to go.
