![]() A week or two ago Joey and Carrie bought an ice cream maker after seeing it on sale at Frys. Now, for those of you who don't have a Frys, Frys is a really large electronics store that has amazing deals every weekend. It seems like Joey looks every week at the specials and always makes a trip to see what they have. Well, so Joey and Carrie picked up an ice cream maker because they found a good deal on one. That night they made cookies and cream ice cream, but it was kind of slushy because the bowl and stuff wasn't cold enough. So no ice cream has been made since then, until today. Today, since I realized that perhaps I bought too many nectarines and that they were quickly going to go bad, I decided to make peach ice cream, substituting the nectarines for the peaches, since they're the same thing anyway. The ice cream wasn't that hard to make, but it sure was messy. I still feel sticky. But the final product actually looks like ice cream, so I suppose that's positive. We'll see how it actually turns out once it's frozen for a few hours. Now I'm finishing up my lunch, watching the Hudsucker Proxy. It's on cable right now. I love this movie. It used to be my favorite Coen brothers movie, but I think that's replaced now by the Big Lebowski. I could literally watch each movie over and over and over again. I just love it when, in the Hudsucker Proxy, Norville shows people a circle and says "Would an imbecile come up with this?" I also really like this scene a lot. - Jenny, 6/07/2007 12:18:00 PM |
