The Medieval Bestseller I read it somewhere on the Internet... |

![]() Today has been a great day so far. The trashman has come, the Blind have come, I went for a walk on the bike path in my new shoes, sweet potato french fries were involved in my lunch, and Carrie and I just came back from Galco's, the soda supermarket. Galco's imports and sells a bunch of all of these unique sodas (they also sell a bunch of exotic types of beer, but it was a soda run this time). I have been before (albeit a few years ago), but Carrie had never been and I decided that it would be awesome if I could get a couple bottles of Ting, Jamaica's grapefruit soda (which is absolutely delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot, humid day). While we were there, we each picked up some unique sodas. Here are the sodas I got: Leninade. I'm not sure what flavor it is, but I thought the packaging was really clever. Where else can you get a soda "worth standing in line for"? Goya Guava Soda. Never had it, but I love guava. Ramune Japanese marble soda. First had this while in college in a package design class. It's a cool package and a good soda. FlavH2O. Never had it, but was intrigued by the half can, half bottle idea. Ting. Delicious refreshment. Krista and I'd always go into Ochi and get a Juicy Patty. mmm....Juicy Patty. I tried having a pastie in Scotland, which looked promising since it was roughly the same idea, but it was nasty. Juicy Patties are simply delicious. Now I have a major craving for them. I'll have to figure out how to replicate it. Journey Caribbean Creme soda. Never had one of these, but apparently it has a bit of a coconut flavor in it. And if there's a flavor that I like, it's coconut. Sadly, Galco's didn't have any Irn Bru, which I took a liking to when I was in Scotland. But I've sent them an email about it and hopefully they'll work on it. In order to get those photos up there, I had to download over 300 photos. Most of those are from my roadtrip, others from graduation. I'll eventually get to those and put up some sets on Flickr. Um, well, I continue to search for jobs. Yesterday I applied to about 5, I think. I suppose I continue to unpack, but I actually haven't made any recent progress on that so far. My car is still loaded with stuff, although now I can see outside the rear window. I have a list of things I have to do that I just have to plow through because I have no motivation to do it. Graphic design, thank you notes, emails, etc. At least I have copious amounts of time to do these things! - Jenny, 5/31/2007 02:12:00 PM |
