Well, day two is now finished and I don't feel tired physically, but definitely tired mentally. I have heard so much about the various things to keep in mind (the one thing that was particularly of interest to me was talking about Catholic sacramentology this morning) that it is hard to contain it all without having an idea of the reality of the hospital experience. Thankfully, my partner Mike & I will get to go to our hospital tomorrow. I think it'll be more training and orientation and stuff, but I'm hoping that it will have a more tangible feel.

Last night I got a call from my cousin David to let me know that he's getting married! I already knew because my aunt Ellie had told me, but I hadn't yet heard it from him. It's very exciting and I think that it's great he's marrying Laura. But to my surprise, last night David also asked if I would perform their marriage! That is very cool to me and I would really like to do it, but I don't know if I'll be able to, with the complicated nature of what it is to be ordained in the PCUSA. So, this is something I'm going to have to investigate over the coming months to see how feasible it is for me to actually be able to do it.

Right after that call, I headed over to my softball game. Last night we played the IKEA Sluggers, who were not as unbeatable as The Splats. We still lost, but this time we only lost by 6 points or so. I played 1st base again and did well, the highlight of which last night was probably when I was making the 2nd out in a double play. That was pretty rad. Unfortunately (especially for Tyler) who will need to take me off of his Fantasy roster), I did not do well batting. I was 1/2, but even my 1 hit was a LOUSY hit. Oh well. The team is way cool about not having to play well. I think they're just excited I can catch.
