I woke up a whole hour earlier this morning. This is because W. David Faulkner called me last night--his clutch broke in his car (this frightens me to no end when I think about it happening with my car) and he needed a ride to work, and he goes in WAY earlier than I go into my work. So, I woke up an hour early (which wasn't too bad--I have a new alarm strategy) and picked Dave up and drove him into work. I considered going into work an hour or so early, but then decided to go have breakfast instead.

I have a lot going on this weekend. Tonight I think I'm going to go see a movie at church with the youth group. Saturday morning I will go give blood, come back and change into an old bridesmaid dress, meet Amanda, Yesenia, Stephanie & others at the Huntington Library & Gardens for tea, hopefully I'll have some time to look around the gardens before I come home and Chris & Tyler to go down to Long Beach and see a Long Beach Ice Dogs hockey game. Sunday I'll go to church...I don't think I have any other plans for Sunday.

A BIG Happy Birthday to my cousin Danny, who turns 26 today (by the way, Danny, I have a card for you but I haven't mailed it yet). Danny shares his birthday with explorer David Livingstone (1813), the first Heisman Trophy winner, J Jay Berwanger (1914), actress Glenn Close (1947), actor [Walter] Bruce Willis (1955), and daughter of Fidel Castro, Alina Castro (1956).

I guess I'll do the Friday Five, even if it feels more like a Tuesday to me:

If you...

1. ...owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
Since I eat salads all of the time, I have enough experience to know what it takes to make salads. Therefore, I would probably be most successful at opening a restaurant that served a variety of salads.

2. ...owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
If I had a small store, maybe I would make it into a gallery and sell artwork.

3. ...wrote a book, what genre would it be?
Although I read a lot of fiction, I can't imagine myself writing a fictional story. And I for sure can't imagine myself writing a book of poetry, since I hate poetry. SO, probably something non-fiction. Maybe a book that explains some passages of scripture. I don't really know.

4. ...ran a school, what would you teach?
Hmm...maybe literature. Maybe art. Maybe even algebra.

5. ...recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
I don't play any musical instruments, so if I recorded an album, it for sure wouldn't be my talent on the actual album.
