![]() Despite having a bit of a cold today, I had a great weekend. It all started on Friday when I went over to Heather & Jason's pad for a game night. We played Jargon (a new game that Heather & Jason bought me for Christmas--like Scrabble, but with cheating rules--perfect for me) and Cranium and then Stephen and I stayed after everyone left, as we talked with Jason & Heather. Saturday, I woke up and went to breakfast with my dad and I actually ordered eggs. This will surprise almost everybody, as I am outspoken about my hate for eggs. Every once in awhile, though (like maybe once a year), I feel like eggs. So, I ordered eggs with minced ham, very, extra well-done and the restaurant brought out the eggs exactly how I like them (no small feat) and they were good. Then I came home to somewhat of a crisis with regards to planning a luncheon for church the next day, but two wonderful ladies helped me out immesurably. Then I went to aunt Ellie's house and celebrated Christmas with my extended family. We postponed Christmas due to scheduling difficulties amongst family members, so it was rescheduled for this past Saturday. I think my favorite gift I received is this pretty fishhook necklace (I think #JB06) that my aunt Trisha gave me, bought in New Zealand. Sunday I went to church and then spoke about my trip to Urbana after church at a luncheon. Then I went shopping at the Glendale Galleria, came home and took a nap, went shopping at Ralphs (I think all of Burbank was there at the same time--all of the check-out lanes were open and all lanes had at least 10 people waiting to check out--it was madness!), made some potato soup, cleaned my room and went to bed, exhausted and feeling sick (probably because Aunt Sally, Roger, Keana and Leila were all sick at Christmas--I think I caught their cold). NOTES: - Comments: If you notice that your previously left comments are missing, it is because I have just changed comment providers from backBlog to Haloscan, since I think that Haloscan provides better free coverage than my paid backBlog account. - Casting Call: If you are in the LA area on Jan. 24th from 12n-2p, and would like to help me with a youth event I'm having, let me know. I'll need you to walk around a mall while high school students will try to find you (based on your character - if you're "Blue Gnu," then you'd wear blue). It'll be fun, I promise. - I am only partly a blogaholic: 56 points is in the 51 through 80 precent - You are a dedicated weblogger. You post frequently because you enjoy weblogging a lot, yet you still manage to have a social life. You're the best kind of weblogger. Way to go!
